HOLDEN APPROVES LAND DONATION FOR ROUZAN LIBRARY
BATON ROUGE, LA -Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden officially accepted the land donation for a public library at Rouzan, a120-acre traditional neighborhood development located on Perkins Road. The land was donated by 2590 Associates L.L.C., which is developing the property.
J. Thomas Spinosa III, Rouzan General Manager, said the library will enhance the community environment of the Perkins Road development. "We are thrilled to work with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library to provide a resource for the entire community. This will certainly be a centerpiece of Rouzan as we move forward."
David Farrar, East Baton Rouge Parish Library Director, sees the land donation approval as an example of how public/private partnerships can provide benefits to tax payers. "The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is very excited to expand our services within the parish. We see the Rouzan library as a great opportunity for everyone to benefit," Farrar said.
Rouzan construction is set to begin next week starting with the Mimosa District, featuring 26 home sites.
ROUZAN - Rouzan is a 120-acre Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) being built near the corner of Perkins Road and Glasgow Avenue in the heart of Baton Rouge. TOMMY SPINOSA III NAMED GENERAL MANAGER FOR ROUZAN
BATON ROUGE, LA (April 19, 2010) -JTS announced today that J. Thomas Spinosa III (Tommy) has been appointed General Manager for Rouzan, a 120-acre Traditional Neighborhood Development located on Perkins Road.
Spinosa's duties include overall management of construction, and the sales and leasing activities for the community. Groundbreaking is anticipated within the next 90 days.
"We are eager to begin site work at Rouzan. A lot of hard work has gone into the planning and zoning of the community and we are ready to bring this vision to life" said Spinosa. "We are focusing a tremendous amount of resources on Rouzan to build momentum this year while ensuring that we stay true to the original vision of the community."
Spinosa most recently served as a development professional with JTS Realty Services where he worked on multiple holdings in Baton Rouge and the Southeastern United States.
Prior to joining JTS, Spinosa spent three years at Northmarq Capital, a commercial real estate investment banking group located in Atlanta. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a major in real estate.
